Manhattan Park. Doubles. Cash prizes.

3180 Cascade Rd, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506

Updated start time: with 16 teams, we realized we have a lot of pickleball to play to see who ends up on top. To make sure we get out of the park on time, the tournament now starts one hour earlier: competitor meeting at 4:45 PM and first games at 5 PM sharp. Bring your partner for a capped 16-team bracket sponsored by BLKLST Pickleball Bags. Entry is $15 per player, or $30 per doubles team. First place wins $100, second place wins $50, and there will be giveaways, prizes, and free drinks provided by BLKLST and CLEONSE. Games are to 11, win by 2, and should move in 23 minutes or less. At the 25-minute mark, the leader wins, or the next volley wins if the game is tied.

Tournament Format

Double elimination, capped at 16 teams.

  • Every team starts in the winners bracket
  • One loss moves a team into the elimination bracket
  • Two losses eliminates a team from the tournament
  • A full 16-team bracket can require 30 or 31 total matches
  • Games are to 11, win by 2, with a 25-minute hard cap
  • One 1-minute water timeout total per match
  • If windy, teams may switch sides when either team reaches 6 points
  • If needed, the final may include a bracket reset match

Games should finish in 23 minutes or less. At 25 minutes, the leader wins. If tied at the horn, play one deciding volley immediately, regardless of who served. One 1-minute water timeout is allowed per match; if wind is a factor, the referee may call a side switch when either team reaches 6 points.
